400 million are children under the age of 15
Millions of children go hungry and many orphans are a serious daily reality
In one of the largest cities there are over 800 slums.
Christianity has existed in India on a very small scale for the last 2,000 years, but it has never seen a revival until now. We must meet the challenge and do all we can to help them reap the harvest and build the church strong in India.
There is 52% literacy in India - The children must be taught.
Youth are in great need here, they need Jesus, guidance and a future.
India has 30 million God's and Goddesses. They need Jesus, his love and the truth of God's word to set the people free from the blinding presence of Idolatry, ignorance and poverty.
The Apostle Thomas went to India almost 2000 years ago and brought the gospel. He won souls to Christ, and paid the price with his life. True Christianity is still there and well, but the obstacles are great and they are many.
