Pastor Isaac Wilson of Banglore, India and his team on the Tsunami stricken coast of India
Setting up a medical clinic in one of the 75 community buildings that are used to house the displaced and homeless people.
Up to 400 people are housed in each of these community buildings. It is a shelter and I am sure they are glad to have it, but it is still a tough way to live.
This is Pastor Isaac Wilson one of our Pastors from Bangalore passing out food packets to the hungry in
Coming for the bananas that Pastor Isaac and the team have brought.
These people are what is left of one of the churches in this area that was struck by the Tsunami.
Pastor Isaac and the team give the church body what they can to help them.
The Pastor is very, very thankful for the help and support.
The Tsunami devastated over 1,000 miles of the India coastline. Since so many of the men who cared for their families were fishermen, and since most all of their boats were totally destroyed, they have no way to earn a living.
In the many weeks after the Tsunami hit, the government of India put a ban on fishing of any kind in the ocean because of all the dead bodies and the polluting of the water.
The few fishermen that have boats and can still fish have now gone back out into the waters but report that there are no fish to catch. The fish left before or after the Tsunami and have not yet returned.
Tsunami Relief Team in India
The Tsunami is over now, and we have all gone on with our lives, but the need of these people will go on for a very long time. It will take a alot of time, help and money before they get back to living any kind of a normal life again.
So many have lost loved ones and those of us who have also lost loved ones know how hard that is to cope with under usual circumstances. It is a very hard road they walk down. Please pray for these people as they need to know the Lord and trust him for the strength they need for the rest of their lives.
Please pray for these Pastors and there people as they endevore to do all they can to help them. And please pray for us also as we go forward in the ministry doing our work and holding up the hands of those who labor there.
