So many of us want to hear from the Lord, we want a word for our life. But so seldom are we listening to really hear him at all. And when we make that step to listen, do we really want to hear what he has to say, or do we just want " what we want . "
We want the move of the spirit, the miraculous and great things of God, but we have to learn that those things come at a price.
The price is the same as it has always been, God is God and we have to yeild to his ways. Jesus whole life is fragranted with obedience to this one thing, " he was always listening to his father." He did nothing except his father said "do it. " He was in tune with his father listening to what he had to say to him and then he just did accordingly .
That's what we must do now, that's how we must choose to live, yielded to his spirit and listening in faith to his voice. Then moving by the leading of his spirit will be the outcome. That's the way he has designed life, that's the way we will see him move in our lives and others. Bringing forth truth, faith, healing or what ever he wants and is needed is the plan.
Those are the facts of life, this is what we must do to see God move and to hear him. But be greatly encouraged because you can do that!
I know that one of the biggest problems that I find in the body of Christ is that people don't have the confidence that they can do it. They are excited to see and hear of preachers who can hear God and move with him in the spirit but have no confidence for it in their own lives.
This is not something just for the ministers of God, this is for his people, those who believe in him. He wants all things in all of our lives to go well, but we must begin to find out what brings that about. You can be a baby Christian and listen to and move with the spirit of God - you did it perfectly when you got saved remember? That's how you got saved.
But something happens to us as we start to grow up in our lives in Christ. Like natural children we begin to think we know it all, or at least that we know enough and don't need to be told or taught more now. But none of the truths of God can ever be minimized or ignored or put aside, we must live and walk in them from now on.
We stop functioning well in God when we cease from the basics of our spiritual life in God. Learn these truths:
GOD'S WORD TODAY
The Lord always speaks to those listening
Be encouraged today that you truly can do all things through him who strengthens you and then step out in faith to walk in God.
Remember he would never ask or command you to do anything that he has not already equipt you to do.
1. We must yeild to the spirit of God always.
2. We must do it by faith, it only works that way.
3. We must listen in faith believing he will speak.
4. We must be obedient to do what he says or leads.
5. We must read and learn his word, it gives faith.
6. We must stand no matter the circumstances.
7. We must keep walking forward.
8. We must rest in the peace of God, in his spirit.
9. We must pray, that is what moves the hand of God.
If we will trust him that he loves us, wants the best for us, that he wants to awnser and do for us. Then let us pray and move forward in faith into the life of God and will see things happen.

Many of us are not listening to hear the Lord because we are so afraid of him. We must have a real and true fear of God from realizing the fact that he is GOD, that he is all powerful and that he will judge all those who do not obey and follow him. But we must also understand that he truly and absolutely loves us. That he not only loves us but he says of himself that he is love. It permeates his whole being and is behind his attitude towards us.
He is not angry with us as others get angry, but in fact has the heart that he tells us to have, that Jesus had. And so if our hearts are honest and humble before him we have nothing to fear. 1 John 4:18 says, " There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."
Let us have a right heart toward God making sure our sins are under the blood of Christ Jesus and then rest in the peace and presence of God. Take time to talk, listen and just have good fellowship with him by the Holy Spirit within you. He absolutely loves you and he knows better than anyone what you are really like, that's some love. That's God's love !
