Also to present books we have found on certain subjects we believe to be truly benefitial.
Many of these books can be purchased through book stores online such as Christianbook.com which usually has the best prices, and at Amazon.com which has a large selection of christian books also.
Other books must be purchased from the authors directly. We will place some ordering information by each book.

A hard to get Classic written by a powerful preacher who knew the basics well.
Torrey was born in 1856 and died in 1928, between then he had many accomplishments such as being the superintendent of Moody's Bible Institute and then Pastor of the Famous Moody Church. After Moody's death, the Lord called Torrey to world wide revival campaigns which shook Australia, England and America.
He was considered one of the greatest Evangelists who ever lived and one of the greatest Bible teachers. This book is considered the best book he ever wrote and I completely agree. Get it and you will find it full of golden nuggets.

" The Release of the Spirit " Author Watchman Nee
An absolute necessary understanding to quality Christian living.
The breaking of the outward man ( the stronghold of our flesh ) to release the spirit ( ours and the holy spirit ) within us.
Very easy reading but serious points your not used to hearing. Watchman's desire was that the church might be fruitful to the Lord, that the Lord might find the minimum of hindrances in us, and that He may be fully released through our quickened and controlled spirit.
Watchman Nee lived the life of a Paul and suffered many similar persecutions in China, but like Paul, though imprisoned, beaten and persecuted, he was faithful to the end.
I expect that if he were to tell us today how he did all that he did it, his repsonse would be that he learned to Yeild to the Holy Spirit, spent much time in the presence of the Holy Spirit and allowed his outerman to be truly broken letting the spirit of God come through.
Nothing new for some of us, but something most of us either don't realize, or have not been willing to yeild to and live by.

The best and most clearly written book on the Gifts of the Spirit. He explains what they are, how they are used, as well as many other revealing points for good understanding.
A must read for those desiring or needing to know the gifts that the Lord desires to work through his people.

Get it if you can, but no fair throwing it across the room until your done !
" Devils, Demons, and Deliverence " by Marilyn Hickey
Demonic activity is something even the church doesn't understand much about. We know that they exist, we know people need deliverence, but how? How do we recognize what we need to know.
As in most all subjects no author has all the awnsers, but we can gleen truth from good authors who have some of the awnsers, and in that, we can get a tapestry that paints a good picture for us.
This book must be purchased directly from Marilyn's ministry unless you get it through a book store. It is $ 9.95 on her web site and I think you could get many good products there.
Marilyn has been a very good all around bible teacher for many, many years and has some excellent teaching tape sets. One of my favorites of hers when my children where young was " Satan Proof your home " She writes on and teaches on many sound biblical subjects and I would reccomend getting many of her older works as they are pricless.

" The Picture Bible " by Cook Publishing
Extremely well done in comic book fashion and the kids will read it all over and over again, learning the who, what and where of the bible.
A must have for every family or reader.

"The Greatest Stories Ever Told" It is another good one. You can use it as a story telling book, it's full of good pictures and simple but full bible stories. Was sold at CBD, but may be out of print. Today though there are still some good ones to be bought.
